Madeline Burget

Hi! My name is Madeline Burget, and I’m the author of Caraway of the Sea.

Reading and writing has always been a huge part of my life, without books I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have. I didn’t have many friends growing up, I was shy, didn’t smile often, and was often avoided by my peers. For me, having access to my school and town library was crucial for my sanity and survival my entire childhood.

I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say, that books quite literally saved my life in middle school and kept me going through my young adulthood when the world felt dark. And I know that a lot of readers feel the same way as I do in that regard, so for me it has always been a dream of mine to become an author and to create a world for others to escape to.
