“A well written, engaging story that kept me wanting more. The characters are relatable and so well developed that it seems as if you grew up with them. The world building & descriptions of landscapes, places, objects & people are very well done. The story is captivating dealing with the classic good VS evil & includes, magic, betrayal, faith, war, adventure, quests, love, loyalty, subtle romantic undertones, etc. There are points where the story slows down, but the overall excitement, suspense & creativity of the story easily over shadows those episodes. The main characters Crystu & Tam are young ppl who are compelled by duty to protect the realm from evil. Despite their powerful gifts they experience life, just as most young people do, facing & overcoming a plethora of challenges along the way. This is a great story from a new author that I highly recommend. The subsequent books get even better as the journey continues. Do yourself a favor & get yourself the series, you won’t regret it!”
