Joshua and Ashley are twins abandoned by their biological parents. They grow up in an orphanage in Russia, in a place called Child Hills. They are very font to each other, and they are inseparable. One day, Ashley is adopted at the age of seven by a couple, who will reveal them to be evil to the core. From that day Joshua is alone in the orphanage. He goes through a rough time, bullied, and mistreated by the nuns, who instead of taking care of his fragile situation treat him very badly and bullied by the other kids for his peculiar features. Joshua has suicidal thoughts and falls into a deep depression. One day when Joshua reaches his eighth birthday, a British couple adopts him. He moves to London. Life finally is kind to him but not for exceedingly long. At the age of sixteen, Joshua comes back from school and finds his adopted parents brutally killed by an evil entity. That traumatic experience awakens his inherited powers, which he will use to figure out who killed them and to find his twin sister, who is nowhere to be found. Years have passed and even though he has a nice life, he is rich and has a job that he loves, something is still missing, a hole too big to fill, and he does the impossible to find his twin sister.
