“Me Here Without You Now” is a love story after the love story set against the stunning but cold backdrop of Finland’s winter. It follows Louise who, after losing the love of her life, struggles to move on and finds herself lost in the process. It’s about dating via texts in your forties, becoming entangled in obsessions, and losing touch with those who matter most, including her son. As the story unfolds through the winter months and culminates just after the New Year, Louise’s journey takes a transformative turn. She begins to shed her obsessions and reconnect with those around her, ultimately finding love once again.
It is a beautiful story, at times funny, at times sad about life, love, and self-discovery. It reminds us that no matter how hard life gets, hope and healing are always possible.
