Rightful Heir, The

Abby has her whole life ahead of her until it is all upended by the sudden death of her father. Not only does he leave her all alone, but shortly after his demise Abby begins to find clues about his past that she never thought possible; he was the heir to the throne of a parallel world.

Abby discovers that her life is in danger from those who would usurp his sovereignty and is thrown into a world full of magical creatures she thought only existed in myths and fairy tales. She travels through portals all over the planet to thwart evil and uncover the truth with the help of a cheerleader, a scientist, and a talking cat.
