Ray Lester is a native Texan established in France since 1987. After a junior year abroad, he dropped out of school and decided to pursue a career in French antiques, abandoning his dream of becoming an anthropologist studying courtship rituals in West Africa. Ray has worked in the antique trade as a dealer and as a highly specialized craftsman, serving the .01 percenters and several world-famous decorators. But since humanity cannot live by overly ornate furniture alone, he also worked at various moments in film finance, as an advertising broker, and as a research assistant and ghost writer.
