“Game of Thrones level of court politics, deceit, and intrigue but make it more women empowerment. First, thank you to the author & BookSirens for providing the ARC for my honest review because this might be one of the best books I’ve read and I need book two right now. I don’t know if I could say everything I loved about this book in this review, but I’m going to try to hit the main points. I will say the beginning was a little slow for me. But the moment we started meeting the other narrators, the story took off running. And we sprinted through the marathon. The world building was fascinating but it was the three narrator’s personal journeys and their role in this larger game that made it hard for me to put this book down. Plus, I love when I get I pulled along and deceived and gaslit by just words on a page. Literally, I reached a point where I wasn’t sure if this particular character was also going to betray me but I was going to live and die for them. Now the whole story was super eventful, keeping me in a chokehold, but that last 30% was plot twists after plot twist after plot twist. And they were so intricately woven in that if you weren’t paying attention, you’ll miss them, which reminded me of reading Game of Thrones. This whole book was beautifully written to drag you in, to have you feel the things our narrators feel, while being thought-provoking. Everyone should add this book to their TBR because it will become your next favorite read and you will join me in suffering till the next book comes out.”
