“I really liked this book. I would say it deserves a solid 3.5 It was a fun quick read. Fair warning, though, this book takes place in the Omegaverse so it may not be for everybody. I for one enjoy Omegaverse given that I got into it via fan fic, and am pretty sure this book is loosely based on the GingerRose pairing. Although I have not read the first book of the Omega Book, this book does a good job filling in the blanks on what happened in the last one without feeling lost. Our lead characters are Rachel, a sweet but feisty Latina Omega that works for a publishing company and Joseph, a handsome Alpha who works in the same publishing company. Both of these characters are part of a circle of friends that tend to hang out. This book is written in Rachel’s POV and are privy to her long standing attraction to Joseph. When Joseph’s family decides to celebrate his sisters engagement, Joseph asks Rachel to accompany him to a ski resort in Colorado as his fake girlfriend because his mother won’t stop setting him up with other Omegas. Despite her reservations on playing pretend and getting her hopes up about Joseph, she agrees. Once they arrive at the resort all sorts of drama unfolds that makes this book quite a fun and fast read. This book abounds in fun romance tropes including fake dating as mentioned before, friends to lovers, only one bed, forced proximity. I definitely recommend this book if you are into omegaverse, and super spicy reads. I would describe this book as a sweet spicy escape.”

What’s a little lie between friends?

Rachel Sanders is a hopeless romantic. Truly, she is, but as a spunky and opinionated Omega with a take-charge attitude, she has on many occasions put the fear of God into her share of Alphas, Omegas, and Betas alike as the personal assistant of the CEO of Hughes Publications. Sometimes, that kind of reputation makes it hard to build friendships, let alone romantic ones.

Enter Joseph Lauder, a stubborn-headed Alpha from accounting and Rachel’s friend of two years. Nice guy. Handsome in that unconventional way. Red Hair. Freckles galore. Dorky smile. Tall and in dire need of meat on his bones. You know, Rachel’s perfect man. She longs for a deeper connection in her relationship with Joseph, but something always seems to get in the way – her job, her exceptional skills at poker, or the fact that Joseph always keeps her at arm’s length.

That all changes the moment Joseph asks her in a panic to accompany him on his annual family outing at a ski resort to avoid his parent’s meddling. All she has to do is pretend to be his girlfriend for one week.

Getting involved is a terrible idea, and Rachel has half a mind to refuse because she knows this can only lead to one place – heartbreak. But then again, maybe if he sees how good they can be as a couple, all the pieces will fall into place.

She’s an Omega on a mission with an infuriating Alpha fake boyfriend and one week to prove they are meant to be. What could go wrong?

Easier Said Than Done is book two of the series, Memoirs of Being an Omega, which follows four Omegas – Violet, Rachel, Alex, and Mia – in their quest for true love.
