“I am loving Ali Fischer’s Book Club Series, and already looking forward to the third instalment! Ali has changed POV from Imogen in the first book, to Lucy’s Story for the second – keeping this sequel new and fresh. Did I say fresh? Oh my word! There are many , many moments throughout the book that had me … shall we say, engrossed. But I had to reread one chapter to make sure I had understood. I had, so I read it again! I will never be able to play Pillowtalk by Zayn in the same room as my mother-in-law, ever again … but I have included it in my partner’s after supper playlist! Lucy’s playlist is a great idea by the way, and it is worth having Alexa at the ready. One or two of the men fail to step up (in the story I mean – they are brilliantly portrayed). Andrew is less than deserving and Mark, or Paul is wholly deserving of his comeuppance. But other guys are beautiful. Just beautiful. Oh my, Tom, you really are just beautiful. Maybe a bit aloof, vulnerable, ridiculously hot … I’m rambling, and dribbling. But for me, the most beautiful person in this tale is the flawed, brave, growing, hot Lucy. Or maybe Doris. This is an exciting, gripping, and beautifully written story. Highly recommended Ms Fischer, well done.”
