Since Hunter Collins made the decision to leave the family business, he’s never looked back. A successful nightclub owner, he’s kept his reputation clean despite his family name. All was going well. Until a dead man turns up in his office, and the woman detective investigating the case seems determined to destroy him.
Life hasn’t always been easy for Detective Abigail Sloan, but over the years she has learned to not let her traumatic past define her. Her job is everything. But when Abbie is assigned to investigate a murder case in a local nightclub, she isn’t prepared to fall down the black hole to a past she’d long moved on from. Her main suspect is a Collins, part of the family who almost destroyed her all those years ago. Could this be her chance to get back at them? If she can prove Hunter Collins is guilty of murder, maybe seeing at least one of them behind bars will give her some closure.
