“The Accidental Wife is the first book by Jeni that I’ve read, and I’ll definitely be reading others. This is a standalone written in 3rd person which I’m typically not a fan of, but I didn’t hate it. This was a super cute book with some plot twists and the perfect HEA. It has just the right amount of spice paired with romance and humor – Ryder is hilarious. I guess you could also call it an enemies to lovers, but Lola is really the only one who “hated” him, Ryder was enamored since day one – so it’s no surprise that he fell first. ___________________________________ ❤️ “You’re mine, Lola. And that year’s agreement we signed? We might as well toss it because I’m not giving you up. Marriage isn’t a game, Lola. But if that’s what you think this is, just know I never lose. I win every fucking game I play.” ___________________________________ After breaking up with her boyfriend (Seth) Lola leaves him and hops on the first flight home from Las Vegas. On the plane she’s seated next to Ryder, who immediately pisses her off and is the “cherry on top” of her bad day. After returning home she asks her best friend to go out with her for a night of fun so she can forget everything that happened with Seth. The two of them run into Ryder at the nightclub, and he insists on buying them drinks and tries to win his way into Lola’s heart. He even goes as far as to have his number written on the bathroom stalls in the hopes that Lola will be bored enough to text him, and luckily for him she is. This ends with them being drunk, and not wanting the night to end so Ryder flies them to Vegas to finish the partying. After a night of bad decisions, they wake up to find out that they married each other. and even worse, he stands to lose everything if they break their agreement. Their stipulations are that they are to move in together, no cheating, and acting as a real couple. And along the way – they fall in love, but not without some bumps on the road because true love isn’t always easy. ___________________________________ ❤️ “We may have made a mistake that night, marrying when we were drunk as fuck. But my heart tells me that was no mistake. We were brought together that day for a reason – they knew you and I were destined to be together. And the more I think about it, I couldn’t agree more with whoever that was.” ___________________________________ SOME OF MY THOUGHTS WHILE I WAS READING ⬇️ ▪️ WTF did Seth do? & we find out. & then we find out that he’s even more of an asshole. 😡 ▪️ I loved the bathroom stall idea! And Brava for sending the boob pics. 🚻 ▪️I wouldn’t have been able to contain my laughter had I run into an old couple in the elevator & they give me marriage advice suggesting lots of pleasure & blow jobs.LOL 🛗 ▪️ Ryder was seriously the cutest! With the rings and then knowing he’d be back to design her another one. I wish I had that kind of money, damn. 💍 ▪️I hoped someone would punch Vivica. 👊 ▪️I’ll never look at apple pie the same again, but sometimes it was overused. 🥧 ▪️The Priest clearly knows what he’s doing. 🙏 Ooooh the spice. Ryder has a damn delicious and filthy mouth. 🔥 Exhibit A – “Fuck that stupid piece of paper that says we’re married for only a year – that isn’t happening. After you get a taste of my cock tonight, you’ll be craving it for life. Sobe prepared for your pussy to be swallowing my cock until the day one of us departs this world.” What a fcking romantic! 🔥 Exhibit B – “I’m going to cum so much insider your pussy. It’ll be dripping out of you for days.” Breeding kink? IDK maybe. I thought Ryder was pretty perfect, even if he was hiding the fact that he was related to Seth. He tried so many times to tell Lola, and she always said she didn’t want to know anymore of his baggage. And from the beginning Ryder did everything he could to treat Lola right, and show her how he really cared about her. I know that Lola was afraid, after Seth, and maybe Ryder seemed to good to be true but still there were times when I did wanna slap her, especially because she always made comments about him drugging girls. Yes Ryder had a filthy mouth, but he was respectful, he didn’t want to sleep with Lola when she was drinking because he didn’t want her to regret it the next day, and he even asked for her consent about having sex without a condom. Hell, when he was going down on her and spread cake all over her, he even made sure nothing would get inside of her so she didn’t get a UTI. Talk about a man of your dreams, looking out for the lady bits! ___________________________________ ❤️ “Because one of those wishes was for you to be happy, and I wished for them to help you find me a stepmom who would love me better than my own mom.” ___________________________________ Abby needs her own little paragraph because she was the sweetest. Abby is 7 year’s old, when she was diagnosed with leukemia at 5 years old Ryder found out he wasn’t her real father. Initially this made him swear off women because he was so heartbroken but he never stopped treating her as his daughter. Her biological father (Seth) wasn’t in her life, and her mother (Vivica) was a conniving cold hearted bitch who used Abby to try to get Ryder back. But, with how hurt he was about Vivica cheating and breaking his heart – that would never happen, especially now that he had Lola. When Lola met Abby, she instantly fell in love with her. And it seems like fate had a funny way of working out because not only did Ryder love Lola, but Lola was a donor match for Abby. Once the transplant took place, and Abby was finally well enough to go home, she went to live with Ryder and Lola. Not only did Abby get to be at home for Christmas, but she got another wish granted when she found out she was going to be a big sister. ___________________________________ ❤️ “I saw and felt something with you kids. A presentiment I never felt with anyone I’ve ever married. You two may not have known each other that night, but what I saw was a connection that not evert relationship has.” – The Pastor I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review. If you made it this far, I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a rom-com with an MMC who has a filthy mouth, is funny as hell and has a heart of gold. And a FMC who finally finds the prince charming she’s always been looking for.”

Never say miracles never happen because they can

After breaking up and leaving her boyfriend in Vegas and dealing with a sexy, cocky, egotistical man on an airplane that made for one long, terrible flight home, Lola needed a night of fun to help her forget the worst day of her life.

Lola and her friend Monique went out drinking later that night, and while at a nightclub, Lola read a message on the bathroom stall wall that said for a good time call

Since she was in a mood and on a mission to mess with someone’s mind, she messaged the number on the stall’s wall—including sending the person on the other end a picture of her bare chest.

What could possibly go wrong when you last remember drinking with your best friend in Miami and then wake up in Vegas the very next morning “sober” next to a man you despise? And you’re married.

Lola and Ryder soon discover they signed an agreement to be married for a year, with a list they’re supposed to follow, and if they break the agreement, there are consequences.

The story will bring you laughs, warm your heart, and bring you to tears with the hearts of Lola and Ryder, who’ll show you the true meaning of love with their selfless acts, especially when it concerns a seven-year-old girl with leukemia.

Author’s note: This story has no cheating or deaths.
