The story of the Children of Lir you thought you knew. In a time when the Tuatha Dé Danann ruled over Éire (Ireland), Bodb Dearg was the High King and King Lir, a lesser king, often challenged his rule. The power struggle between the two men is on the verge of bloodshed when King Bodb elects to arrange the joining of his daughter Aoibh to Lir in hopes of establishing an alliance through their bond: keeping Éire peaceful and prosperous.
