“If you’re looking for an immersive tale centered around Irish folklore, look no further! I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book (mostly because I know little about Irish folklore). I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself invested in the lives of Aoibh, Aoife, Manannán, and the Children of Lir within the first few pages. The novel tackles kingdom politics, magic, prophecy, love, loss, sacrifice, passion, and so much more. Johnson also does a phenomenal job with world-building and character development. If you’re looking for a novel written like an old folktale, I recommend giving this a read.”

Following the breaking of the curse of the Children of Lir, Alastrine Fallen, the Foretold and prophesized last child of the Tuatha Dé Danann traverses time and several lifelines to fulfill the Prophecy of the Fallen.

The story of the Children of Lir you thought you knew. In a time when the Tuatha Dé Danann ruled over Éire (Ireland), Bodb Dearg was the High King and King Lir, a lesser king, often challenged his rule. The power struggle between the two men is on the verge of bloodshed when King Bodb elects to arrange the joining of his daughter Aoibh to Lir in hopes of establishing an alliance through their bond: keeping Éire peaceful and prosperous.
