“5 Stars – January 19, 2020 Delighted to meet a new author and find that we share a love of camping and recreational vehicles. This guide truly is a guide to the camper who is interested in volunteering in our state parks. While this book is specific to Florida, the information on what questions to ask, the pitfalls and how to get the most out of the experience is comprehensive and easy to understand. The list of the parks was clear and informative. A must have if you are interested in this unique way to travel year round or just seasonally.”

Florida Public Land Areas are Looking for Full-Time and Part-Time RVers of all ages can get free campsites in exchange for part time work

Insider’s Guide To Campground Hosting In Florida Parks is for those who would like to spend some time in some of our great county, state and national parks and are willing to work in exchange for a campsite. We give the newcomer the skinny on how to apply, where to find the best places to volunteer and information on the benefits of helping our hard-working park staff.

There over 100 Florida State Parks, various Florida State Forests, Florida County Parks and a few National Parks and Forests that will give you a FREE campsite in exchange for volunteering. We will even explore some opportunities with our Florida Fish and Wildlife, Regional Water Management Districts, as well as other government agencies that can offer you a campsite with water, electric, possibly sewer on-site and more for a little bit of your time and sweat that will help keep our beautiful resources cleaned, maintained and repaired for all to enjoy.

We have visited and/or worked in quite a few of the Florida State Parks over the last 2 years and have gathered some great information for our fellow RVers. This is a great guide for people wanting to travel in a RV in the future, those just getting started as well as those who have been traveling, living, and working in their RVs for a while. Being a volunteer in public parks and land areas, whether they are county, state or national, helps keep them up and running, gives you a sense of accomplishment, and it even can give you a place to stay in a beautiful setting. Of course, you will be meeting and working with some interesting people, learning new skills, and enjoying the great outdoors.
