Ever since she was a child, Norma Fitzhugh has been able to see ghosts. After moving from Boston to Virginia to find some peace and quiet, she discovers that even small towns have their fair share of dead people. Here, she befriends the ghost of a little boy and his dog and becomes embroiled in a murder mystery of paranormal proportions.

Some would call Norma’s ability to see the dead as a gift, but she doesn’t see it that way. Once ghosts learn of the living girl who can see them, they always seek her out to help them with their problems. And ghosts, much like the living, come with plenty of drama. After living in Boston for most of her life with her aunt, she decides to move to a small town where, hopefully, things are quieter. She couldn’t be more wrong. One small Virginia town is teeming with specters, and she finds herself tangled up in solving a murder most foul, all while trying to have a “normal” life.
